Over the course of winter break, I began to collect and paint miniatures from the board game "Battletech." The miniatures are about three inches in height and come primed in a solid gray color. I would begin by painting the mini a solid color such as red, blue, or green using acrylic paint. After the paint dried, I would then accent the mini with extra colors as well as metallic coats. I would then finish by applying a black wash to add extra depth to the mini's coloring. I take great pride in painting the miniatures because of the steady hand that is required to apply the finer details. The slightest slip can lead to accidentally smearing paint on the wrong part of the model and needing to wait for the paint to dry so that I can paint over it again.
